Privacy Policy
SnapGlow keeps photo editing local by default.
This policy explains how SnapGlow handles photos, permissions, exports, sharing, and optional external AI handoff.
Last updated: May 23, 2026
Overview
SnapGlow is a photo editing app for Android. The app is designed so core editing, filters, face detection,
portrait segmentation, and export rendering run on your device. SnapGlow does not operate an account system,
cloud sync service, or server-side photo processing service for this release.
Information SnapGlow Handles
Photos you choose
SnapGlow handles photos that you capture with the camera or select through Android's photo picker or
content selection flow. Selected images may be copied into the app's private cache so the editing session
continues to work reliably.
Local editing data
Saved settings, saved looks, and recent edit records are stored locally on your device in app preferences.
Temporary import files, camera capture files, and share-cache files are stored in app-private cache areas.
Exported images
When you choose to save an edit, SnapGlow writes the exported image to your device, including the
Pictures/SnapGlow folder where supported by Android.
Permissions
- Camera
-
Used only when you choose to capture a photo inside SnapGlow. You can deny this permission and still use
supported import/editing flows that do not require the camera.
- Photo and storage access
-
Used for user-selected imports, saving exports, and sharing edited images. On newer Android versions,
SnapGlow uses Android's picker/content URI flow where available.
On-Device Processing
SnapGlow's core photo editing pipeline runs on your device. This includes filters, beauty adjustments, face
detection, portrait segmentation, preview rendering, and export rendering. SnapGlow does not upload your photos
to SnapGlow servers for these core editing features.
Sharing And External Services
If you choose to share an exported image, Android opens the share sheet and you select the destination app or
service. Once you share content to another app or service, that destination handles the content under its own
terms and privacy policy.
SnapGlow may offer an optional Gemini handoff. This can copy a prompt and open or share to Gemini only after
you choose that action. This is an external workflow and may send your selected image or prompt to Google or
another destination you choose. SnapGlow does not control how external services process that content.
Retention And Deletion
Local settings, saved looks, recent edit records, cached images, and temporary files remain on your device
unless Android or SnapGlow clears them, or you uninstall the app. App backup is disabled for this release, so
SnapGlow app data is not restored through Android cloud backup by SnapGlow.
You can delete exported images from your device gallery or file manager. You can also clear SnapGlow's app data
or uninstall the app through Android settings.
Children's Privacy
SnapGlow is not directed to children under 13. SnapGlow does not knowingly collect personal information from
children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an external service, contact that
service directly and use the contact method below for SnapGlow-specific concerns.
Changes To This Policy
This policy may be updated when SnapGlow's features, permissions, or data handling practices change. The
"Last updated" date will be revised when changes are published.
