Information We Collect
ScanPro is designed to be a "Privacy-First" tool. Most processing happens directly on your device:
- Camera Data: We access your camera only to capture document images. We do NOT record or stream your camera feed.
- Captured Images: All documents you scan are stored locally on your device unless you choose to enable Cloud Sync.
- OCR Content: Our Text Recognition (OCR) is performed using localized AI engines. Your text data never leaves your device for processing.
Cloud Sync & Storage
If you choose to sign in and enable Cloud Sync, we use Google Firebase to safely store and synchronize your documents across your devices. This data is encrypted and only accessible by you via your authenticated account.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Local Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Fingerprint) to secure the app.
- End-to-end encryption for cloud transfers.
- Secure local sandboxing to prevent other apps from accessing your documents.
Third-Party Services
We use the following specialized services to provide our functionality:
- Google ML Kit: For high-precision offline text recognition.
- Firebase: For optional cloud backup and authentication.
